Training Programmes conducted in SASA in 2024-25

1. Training programme for statistical staff working in SC Development Department - from 28-05-2024 to 30-05-2024, three days

25 employees working in Scheduled Development Department have participated in this training programme, funded by SCDD. This three day training programme covered the schemes and surveys implemented by SC development department, Plan space and Sakarma application.

2. Training on Power BI for statistical staff and LSGD staff - from 05-06-2024 to 07-06-2024, three days 

25 employees from LSGD Principal Directorate and RGSA staff in selected district offices were the participants of this training programme, organized with the financial support of LSGD.

3. National Training for Senior Statistics Officers from 21 to 24 January 2025 at SSA in collaboration with NSSTA

25 officers in the cadre of SSO from various arms of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation were the participants of this programme, jointly organised by National Statistical Systems Training Academy (NSSTA) and SASA. This is the first collaborative training programme conducted by SASA with NSSTA.

4. Advanced Training on Web Application Development in PHP Laravel- from 4 to 15 February 2025

This 10 days training programme was conducted with the technical support of C-DIT, Thiruvananthapuram. Six employees from the department had attended this Phase II training. In this connection, a Phase I training for 10 days was organized at SASA for the same batch of employees in 2023-24 FY.

5. National Training for Junior Statistics Officers from 17 to 21 January 2025 at SSA in collaboration with NSSTA

24 officers in the cadre of JSO from various arms of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation were the participants of this programme, jointly organised by National Statistical Systems Training Academy (NSSTA) and SASA. This is the second collaborative training programme conducted by SASA with NSSTA.

6. Training on Data Management in MS Access- from 24 to 25 February 2025

25 employees in the cadre of Statistical Assistant Grade II to Assistant Director from the directorate, field offices and line departments have attended this two day training programme on MS Access held at SASA Computer Lab.

7. Training on e-office File Management System- on 01 March 2025, for statistical staff working in Taluk Statistical Offices of Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam district.

27 employees in the cadre of Taluk Statistical Officer, Statistical Inspector and Statistical Assistant from each Taluk in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam district attended this one day training programme on e-office held at SASA.

8. Training Programme on Data Analytics in Tableau

25 employees in the cadre of Statistical Assistant Grade II to Deputy Director attended the two day training programme on Tableau. Data visualization and dashboard in desktop and public versions of Tableau were covered during the sessions.

9. Training Programme on State Accounts and Environment Accounts

A three day training programme on State income estimation and environmental accounting was held at SASA for statistical staff in the Department of Economics & Statistics. 36 employees in the cadre of Statistical Assistant Grade I to Joint Director attended the this training programme. Department Resource Persons from State Accounts Division handled the classes.

10. Training Programme on Sustainable Development Goals

SASA organized an one day training programme on 10 March 2025 on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) at Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Vikas Bhavan for statistical staff in the Department of Economics & Statistics. 50 employees in the cadre of Statistical Assistant Grade I to Deputy Director attended the this training programme. Director of Economics and Statistics handled classes.

11. Training on e-office File Management System- for Alappuzha district

An one day training programme for e-office paperless file management system was organised for Taluk offices in Alappuzha district at SASA on 10-02-2025. 18 employees in the cadre of Taluk Statistical Officer, Statistical Inspector and Statistical Assistant from each Taluk in Alappuzha district attended this training programme.
